May 14, 2019 - 10:45 am

Join News Talk 1110 & 99.3 WBT and The Independence Fund at the next Veterans' Leadership in Business Speaker Series, May 21st at Carmel Country Club.

This Memorial Day event features wounded combat veteran Danny O'Neel.  O’Neel was an Army Sergeant and squad leader with the “Hounds of Hell."

He was combat wounded during two tours in Iraq. He suffers from post-traumatic stress and the long-term effects of a traumatic brain injury (TBI).

One thing you should know about him: “My commitment to my brothers did not end when I got out of the military”.

He tells about his service in Iraq losing nine men, but losing even more to suicide in the aftermath, calling it "our experiences, but America's stories".

Join Sergeant O'Neel and the Independence Fund in their quest to support our Veterans.

Purchase your ticket in advance for $25. You can also purchase a seat to be given to a Veteran or First Responder.

The first 100 tickets purchased will receive a free ticket for the Coca Cola 600 tribute to the armed forces and NASCAR Monster Energy Cup race on Sunday, May 26, 2019, courtesy of Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Coca-Cola 600 tickets must be picked up at the Carmel Country Club on Tuesday, May 21st.

A portion of the proceeds will be donated to The Independence Fund.
