Covid-19 Metrics Moving North Carolina in the Wrong Direction

Concern about the direction of the Covid 19 numbers from North Carolina Secretary of Health and Human Services Dr. Mandy Cohen.

Cohen says as of Tuesday morning there are 75, 875 confirmed cases, 989 people hospitalized and 14-hundred and 20 deaths.

She says she’s concerned the key metrics are moving in the wrong direction, cases counts are up and the percentage of positive tests is staying high and if it continues to overwhelm our medical system. The Secretary urging everyone to wear a face covering when in public, it’s a state requirement “and we now have growing evidence that cloth face coverings when worn consistently can decrease the spread of COVID-19." She says it’s a simple way to protect people’s health and reignite the economy.
