Pat McCrory

Former North Carolina Governor and WBT Morning Host Pat McCrory was a guest on  Meet The Press Sunday to discuss the nationwide protests over the death of George Floyd, a Minneapolis man that died while in police custody this month.

Video of the incident sparked outrage as officers are seen pinning Floyd to the ground with one pressing his knee against Floyd's neck for several minutes.

Demonstrators across the country have taken to the streets to protest. There however have been some instances fo violence and looting.

McCrory said Sunday that within these "legitimate protests,"there's a small group of "domestic terrorists" who attend the demonstrations with the goal of inciting violence.

"It literally only takes five to 20 people to cause this massive destruction,"  McCrory said.
