President Donald Trump fires back at NBC’s Meet the Press anchor Chuck Todd, calling for him to be fired.

On Sunday’s Meet the Press, Todd, used a sound-bite from a CBS This Morning interview with U.S. Attorney General William Barr, which was later discovered to be edited in a way that appeared to remove the context of Barr’s statement.

In Friday’s interview, Barr was asked about dropping the federal charges against former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn, to which he replied, “History is written by the winners and that largely depends on who is writing the history,” but on Sunday’s Meet the Press, the clip cut back to Todd before the rest of the quote could finish where Bar continues with, “But a fair history would say it was a good decision because it upheld the rule of law.”

A social media storm followed, showing the unedited clip in its entirety and bashing show host Chuck Todd.

Meet the Press later responded by tweeting a retraction and apology.

The White House says it didn’t know that the U.S. Justice Department was planning to drop Flynn’s charges.
