Here are some quick highlights of what happened Saturday morning at the Carolina Panthers training camp practice Monday afternoon that a select group of media were able to watch:

-After having Sunday off, the team returned in full pads and did 11-on-11 drills inside the practice bubble. After a little more than an hour, the team exited and hit the fields. It was hot and muggy. Normally, Carolina practices in the morning.

-Those in red jerseys that didn't practice were receivers Omar Bayless and Seth Roberts, and center Tyler Larsen.

-Prior to the start of the 11-on-11 drills, head coach Matt Rhule gathered the team and told them, among other things, that he wanted the offense to do better on third downs and that he wanted the defense to start playing well faster.

-One thing Rhule has preached over and over is how he doesn't want the team to beat itself with silly mistakes and penalties. At one point today during a drill, Bridgewater had to do push-ups because of a mistake with the snap.

-When backup quarterback Will Grier threw a touchdown, he handed the ball to the offensive line and let them spike it in celebration.

-While practicing in the bubble, loud crowd noise played from the speakers.
Matt Rhule told reporters after practice that this ambient noise is because it's possible the Panthers will play games without fans or limited, and this automated fan noise will be used.

-During the outside position drills, one of the elements had the quarterbacks throwing high in the back of the end zone on purpose to make the receivers have to jump and land with both feet in bounds.
