Donations pour in, a tanker truck speeds through a group of protestors and the police effectively enforce curfew on day six of protests in Minneapolis.

Across Minneapolis, sites like Sanford Middle School and the corner Lexington and Central in St. Paul were home to donation drop off spots to help those in need.

Governor Walz spoke with hip hop star and entrepreneur JayZ about George Floyd and ongoing events.

Walz says JayZ called him about George Floyd killing: "It was so incredibly human. It wasn't JayZ international celebrity. It was a Dad and quite honestly a black man who with visceral pain that he knew."

The highway closures were moved up to 5:00 p.m., and the curfew was imposed for a third straight night.

Protesters flooded onto I-35W and were peacefully protesting when a tanker truck sped into the group. No protesters were reported to have sustained injuries, and the driver, Bogdan Vechirko was briefly hospitalized after being pulled out of the truck. Vechirko is currently in police custody.

In a 7:00 p.m. press conference, Gov. Walz announced that Attorney General Keith Ellison would be handling the prosecution of Derek Chauvin.

As curfew began at 8:00 p.m., two groups of protesters remained at two points in the city. One group, at I-35W and Washington Avenue, was quickly surrounded and arrested.

The second group, at US Bank, walked along Portland Avenue until they reached the intersection of 38th and Chicago Avenue, where they joined other people at the memorial for George Floyd.
