An entire class of fifth graders is in quarantine after several school employees tested positive for COVID-19.

Officials with the Keller School District have confirmed that three employees at Indian Springs Middle School tested positive for COVID-19.

According to the district's online COVID-19 dashboard there are currently a total of 11 positive COVID-19 cases among the entire Keller ISD community. Of those, four are employees and seven are students.

The Indian Springs Middle School serves 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade students.

Keller ISD began in-person and virtual classes on August 26th.

In a statement, the district said due to the volume of close contacts, all 145 in-person 5th grade students and 5th grade staff are now in quarantine and have transitioned to remote learning for 14 days.

The entire Indian Springs Middle School campus was also deep cleaned, sanitized and disinfected over the weekend, according to a statement from the district.
