In more normal times, seeing a lemonade stand on the street would bring a smile to your face—but during the coronavirus outbreak it prompted a call to 311.
Police shut down a stand selling lemonade and popcorn in Brooklyn after a large group of kids and adults gathered on the sidewalk in violation of rules put in place over the coronavirus.
Police tell RADIO.COM that officers shut down the pop-up kids carnival on Lynch Street in Williamsburg shortly after 3 p.m. Friday.
There were numerous kids and adults congregating on the sidewalk, according to sources, who said the vast majority of people weren't wearing masks.
The organizer of the lemonade stand was issued a summons, police said.
No other arrests were made.
