PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) - Former Penn State basketball player Rasir Bolton transferred to Iowa State.  We hear about transfers often, but it’s the reason for the transfer that had head coach Patrick Chambers release a statement today.

Bolton said that Chambers told him he wanted to “loosen the noose that’s around his neck”

With the Nittany Lions since 2011, Chambers then released a statement taking accountability for his actions.

Penn State has not commented on Chambers’ job status, the Nittany Lions would likely have been a NCAA tournament team this past year at 21-10.  Chambers is 148-150 overall.
