Political operative and longtime advisor to President Donald Trump, Roger Stone, sat down with host Morris O’Kelly of The Mo’Kelly Show Saturday after recently being released from federal custody. Stone was convicted of lying to Congress, witness tampering, and obstruction, but his 40-month sentence was commented by Trump last week.

At around the 12-minute mark of the heated 30-minute interview on a local radio station, Stone can be heard calling Mo'Kelly a “Negro."

Mo'Kelly took to social media, tweeting “I’m nobody’s Negro," and posted a blog about the incident

Stone was being challenged about his close friendship with the president, and that he was granted clemency because of it. Stone argued that he'd been treated unfairly by the justice system.

“There are thousands of people treated unfairly daily. Hell, your number just happened to come up in the lottery,” Mo’Kelly said. “I’m guessing it was more than just luck, Roger, right?

A frustrated Stone paused during the exchange and appeared to blurt out his anger to someone else in the room with him.

“I don’t really feel like arguing with this Negro,” Stone is audibly heard saying.

“I’m sorry, what was that?” Mo’Kelly responded.

“Roger? I’m sorry, what did you say?”

Stone then went silent for more than 40 seconds before alleging that the phone line was going in and out.

Mo’Kelly asked Stone to repeat what he said, the word “Negro,” but Stone denied ever saying the word.
