Universal Orlando is reportedly targeting June 5 to reopen after being closed since March due to the COVID-19 pandemic, according to multiple reports
The theme park submitted a proposal Thursday to the Orange County Economic Recovery Task Force, reported The Hollywood Reporter.
The plan reportedly calls for the theme park to open to a much smaller capacity along with masks and temperature checks being required for both visitors and employees.
Universal Studios will open June 1 for employees only, as a sort of dry run. On June 3, some invited guests will visit. According officials, the park will open to the public on June 5.
Some attractions like interactive play areas, will be closed, post-show meet and greets will be canceled along with signage reminding guest to social distance.
The CityWalk entertainment district at the Florida resort reopened earlier this month.
