Williamsville, NY (WBEN) - The Williamsville School District is altering its reopening plan to allow for instruction five days a week, a change from the district's initial plan that called for just three days of instruction.

Students will have the option to go fully remote, with video instruction five days a week, or choose a hybrid model that includes in-class learning as well as remote options.

A virtual meeting headed by Williamsville School Superintendent Scott Martzloff Monday night was attended by hundreds of parents, many of them concerned about the District's initial plan.

"We have heard you," Martzloff said to one of the parents asking a question during the meeting. "My first day meeting with our reopening committee, I said to them that I do not want to put forth a hybrid plan that sees children in school two days a week," Martzloff said.
