The District Attorney's Office today recognized those who went above and beyond their call to service and community. WBT's Joe Gillespie was there while District Attorney Spencer Merriweather presented the awards to both citizens and police officers alike, highlighting the story of Kimberly Cherry. Mark Garrison then spoke with Norma Messer, honored two years ago by the District Attorney's Office,  who made sure her attackers were prosecuted for what they did to her.
