UPDATE: Homicide in the Steele Creek Division Additional Warrant Signed

On Monday August 12 CMPD's Homicide Unit was conducting an investigation in the Steele Creek Division. The call was recieved at 4:22 pm Monday afternoon. An additional warrant was signed Tuesday for the murder of an unborn child. The medical examiner's office determined the victim was 24 weeks pregnant at the time she was murdered. 

Officers respnded to an assault with a deadly weapon upon arrival the officers found a female with a gunshot wound inside of her apartment. The Victim identived as Aiesha Shantel Summers was found dead at the scene. Police are still searching for the suspect Edward Silk Garner Sr. Last seen driving a white 2000 S430 Mercedes with a sunroof NC Plates HCV-1629. 

The suspect has warrants for Murder and Possession of Firearm by Felon and is considered armed and dangerous. 

Officers have located Aziyah Sana’a Garner and Edward Silk Garner, Jr. safe and unharmed.
