Something was different this morning at the Bojangle's in South End.

An employee had the terrible duty of spraying and scrubbing the front steps to remove the blood from the scene of a murder which happened there the day before.

88 homicides so far this year has made 2019 the deadliest year in the city of Charlotte since 1995, nearly 25 years.

Pat McCrory calls to task the Charlotte officials to examine the facts and take action accordingly to stop this trend before is gets any worse.

McCrory recalls his days as Charlotte Mayor when murder numbers had eclipsed the 100 mark annually and he led a charge to drastically reduce that number by 70%.

Urging the Charlotte City Council to action McCrory said "Instead of discussing a tax increase on the ballet and the opera.... why don't you discuss why (over) 80 people have been killed and what are we doing to do something about it?"
