McCrory: "N.C. Phase 2.5 is all politics; not science and data"

North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper is set to move the state into Phase 2.5 to slow the spread of Coronavirus on Friday at 5 PM ET. A decision that was sharply critized by many people including the man the Cooper replaced.

McCrory added to his words from Twitter and wondered what Cooper was thinking? "I read the news reports of all the announcements made by the governor and I just strongly believe that our small businesses are getting jerked around by government, in which they're not using data" McCrory said on his show Wednesday.

Cooper used the term "dimmer switch" when referring to the state's current outlook on the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. A bit McCrory found quite amusing considering the lights remain out for some North Carolina businesses. "This is a dimmer switch, careful step that we're making," Cooper said at a press conference on Tuesday. "That we hope we can continue to keep the decline moving downward and still be able to turn the dimmer switch up."

McCrory found all this to sound like a trailer of a bad movie — 'Dimmer Switch 2.5'
