Pat Challenges Definition of Non-Violent Crime
The Pat McCrory Show w/ Bo Thompson
November 26, 2019 - 11:34 am
Pat McCrory challenges the classifcation of non-violent crimes.
For instance, "If your house has been broken into, you don't feel like that is a non-violent crime, you've been violated."
"You never forget for the rest of the time you live in that house, because you are afraid it's going to happen again. I consider that a violent crime."
McCrory warns against buying into a false narrative of prisons being full of non-violent criminals, as many of those people have a long crimnal history.
The former Mayor and Governor concludes "We have to be careful not to revert back to the 80's or 90's where we don't punish those who break the law."
