Former Panthers linebacker Luke Kuechly shared some of his wisdom with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools when he was a virtual teacher on Monday. It is also Kuechly’s 29th birthday.

The session started with a pop quiz for Kuechly with questions such as “How many bones does the human body have?,” “What is the name given to a group of monkeys?” and “Name the tallest mountain on earth, measured from the base to the peak.”

Kuechly also answered questions from students, including his favorite memory of Michael Jordan. He said his favorite memory is the movie Space Jam, which he loved as a kid. Kuechly was also asked what the hardest part of being retired is, and he said he’s still trying to figure out what he’s going to do next. Kuechly says he doesn’t know what it’s going to be yet, but hopefully he’ll figure it out soon because he enjoys work and working toward a goal and competing.

The session ended with a fitness lesson from Kuechly, demonstrating various exercises such as pushups, planks and squats.

Kuechly told people watching to enjoy spending time with your family, that we wish we could be doing more right now, but it’s a unique opportunity where you can spend time with your family and be around the people you enjoy.
