Carolina Panthers owner David Tepper came in at No. 41 on the Forbes 400 List released Tuesday morning.

Tepper, 62, is said to be "arguably the greatest hedge fund manager of his generation, has been steadily returning money to client investors in recent years," according to Forbes. The one-time minority owner of the Pittsburgh Steelers took over sole ownership of the Panthers from Jerry Richardson in 2018. He is also the newest owner in Major League Soccer with Charlotte FC on his books last year.

Tepper was one of several people with ties to the Carolinas to make the list including computer software mogul James Goodnight, Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney.
