Senior Counselor to President Trump Kellyanne Conway joined WBT's Wednesday Morning News with Bo Thompson.

North Carolina is back in the spotlight regarding RNC events, but it's unlikely Charlotte will get to participate. Conway referred to N.C. Governor Roy Cooper as "too obstinate" despite President Trump's initial excitement to hold the convention in the Queen City.

While the RNC is "still considering different places" for Trump's acceptance speech, Conway confidently expressed "this is the peoples' convention, [and] we're not going to compete with the Democrats..."

Thompson asked if Charlotte would be considered, to which Conway replied "highly doubtful... we love North Carolina, but the Governor there made it unattainable."
